Congratulations to Asraa Ahmad for successfully completing the Student Science Training Program!
Congratulations to Asraa, who worked in the Brain Mapping Lab over the summer, for successfully completing and presenting her project to her peers and the UF community. Asraa is a high school student at Spruce Creek High School in Port Orange, FL, who is interested in pursuing a career in STEM.
The UF Student Science Training Program (SSTP) is a seven week residential research program for high school students who have completed their junior year and are considering medicine, math, computer science, or engineering careers. The program emphasis is research participation with a UF faculty research scientist and his or her research team. Students engage in the ongoing research of the faculty-mentor for 30 hours each week, attend a lecture series on current research topics, and participate in a UF honors seminar class.
We thank Asraa for her hard work and wish her all the best in his future endeavors!
