Jose Daniel Alcantara Zapata received his bachelor degree in Electronic Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru. After 10 years working in industry and research centers, he decided to continue a graduate career in Biomedical Engineering. His research focuses in developing and applying different technologies during brain injured patients’ rehabilitation.

Edwin Alexander Cerquera Soacha earned his degree in Biomedical Engineering from Universidad Antonio Nariño in Colombia, M.Eng. from Universidad Nacional de Colombia and Ph.D. from Carl von Ossietzky Universitaet Oldenburg in Germany. Marco Emilio Vazquez
Marco Emilio is a second year undergraduate student studying electrical engineering with a minor in computer science. His current research interests include machine-learning, brain-computer interfaces, and prosthetics. On his free time, he enjoys playing the double bass, competing in Taekwondo, and volunteering at animal shelters.
Stephanie Cernera, PhD
Stephanie is a PhD candidate in the department of Biomedical Engineering. She earned a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Purdue University. Her research interests include neurological disorders, device development, neural networks and brain-computer interfaces. She enjoys hiking, music festivals and traveling anywhere new.
