Edwin Alexander Cerquera Soacha, Ph.D.
Edwin Alexander Cerquera Soacha earned his degree in Biomedical Engineering from Universidad Antonio Nariño in Colombia, M.Eng. from Universidad Nacional de Colombia and Ph.D. from Carl von Ossietzky Universitaet Oldenburg in Germany. His research interests are focused on neural and physiological signal processing. For his postdoctoral fellowship, he is currently working on analysis of degenerative brain disorders data towards developing closed-loop deep brain stimulation systems. Prior to joining UF, he was associate professor at the School of Electronic and Biomedical Engineering of the Universidad Antonio Nariño in Bogota, Colombia.
